Abstract

This study aimed to identify the Level of Professional Motivation of Teachers of Post-Basic Education Schools in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach and the questionnaire was used as a tool for the study. A questionnaire consisting of (28) items was applied to (274) teachers. The questionnaire was divided into two parts: demographic data and professional motivation. Its validity and reliability were also verified.

The findings of the study revealed that the level of professional motivation among teachers at post-basic education schools in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in Sultanate of Oman was high and also the study revealed that no statistically significant differences between the study samples individuals regarding the study variables (gender, Qualification).

Considering the study findings, a set of recommendations were provided, the most important of which are: The need to pay more attention to the system of incentives and rewards for teachers, giving the utmost importance to increase their professional motivation, provide special courses and programs to develop the skills and capabilities.
