Abstract

The research aimed at identifying the effect of an instructional program based on shared writing model to develop the writing skill in English language and the motivation for learning it among 9th grade students in Naur dirctorate of edcaution. The study was implemented on a sample that consisted of (40) female students of 9th grade in Alal secondry school for girls. The researchers prepared an instructtional program based on shared writing model, a motivation scale, and an achievement test that was verified for its validity and reliability. The expermerimental group was tought by instructtional program based on shared writing model and the controlled one was taught by the oradinary program. The researchers used the experimental methodology. The results showed statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α = 0.05) in the averages on the writing skill test attributed to the group in favor of the experimental group. The results also indicated also showed that there was an increase in the motivation for learning in favor of the experimental group.
