Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effect of a training program based on the Kolb model in improving the self-efficacy of the English language teachers of the elementary stage in the 1st Amman Directorate. The study was conducted on a sample of (54) Male and female English language students in the elementary stage.the researcher followed the quasi experimental design. To achieve the objectives of the study, a scale of self-efficacy was applied and the instrument reliability and validity were verified.

The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the maximum self-efficacy according to the training program using the Kulb model. The findings also indicated the existence of statistically significant differences in the arithmetical averages and the standard deviations between the experimental and control groups in the telemetry to exclude the measure of self-efficacy among the English teachers in the primary stage due to gender variables, experience and interaction between them. Besides, the results indicated the absence of statistically significant differences in the maximum self-efficacy according to the training program using the Kolb model due to gender, experience and interaction between them, and the absence of differences in lesson planning, lesson implementation and evaluation of students' learning due to gender, experience and interaction between sex and experience. The researcher recommends strengthening training programs to develop the skills of male and female teachers to achieve educational goals and follow up on the latest developments in teaching methods.
