Abstract
Abstract: This study aimed at revealing the degree to which principals of public secondary schools in Jordan practice transformational leadership from teachers’ point of view. The study used the descriptive -survey methodology on a sample of (480) male and female teachers in public secoundary schools for the academic year (2017/2018). The results showed that the degree practicing transformational leadership by public secondary school principals in Jordan was high, from teachers’ point of view. The results also showed that there were significant differences at (≤=0.05) in the degree of practicing transformational leadership by public secoundary schools in Jordan attributed to sex, in favor of females, and experience variables, in favor of teachers with less experience, but there were no significant differences due to academic qualification variable.
ملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن درجة ممارسة مديري المدارس الحكومية الثانوية في الأردن للقيادة التحويلية من وجهة نظر المعلمين. وقد طبقت الدراسة على عينة مؤلفة من (480) معلماً ومعلمة في المدارس الحكومية الثانوبة 2017/2018. وتوصلت الدارسة إلى أن المتوسط العام لدرجة ممارسة مديري المدارس الثانوية الحكومية في الأردن للقيادة التحويلية جاء بدرجة مرتفعة. كما أشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً عند مستوى دلالة (≤= 0.05) في مستوى ممارسة مديري المدارس الثانوية الحكومية في الأردن للقيادة التحويلية تعزى لمتغير الجنس لصالح الإناث, بينما كانت الفروق وفقاً لمتغير الخبرة لصالح المعلمين ذوي الخبرة الأقل, بينما أشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلاله إحصائية تعزى لمتغير المؤهل العلمي.
