Abstract

Abstract:

This study aimed at developing a list of criteria for assessing the instruction performance of Computer science teachers and identifying the extent of their achievement of it, and whether their estimates has difference according to their gender and teaching experience. The descriptive developmental methodologyvwas used. The sample included (223) randomly selected teachers. To achieve the aims of the study, an instrument was developed included a list of criteria for assessing the instruction performance of Computer science teachers; and distributed on five Subdomains: Computational culture; Evaluation skills; Information security; Technology ethics; and technological literacy. The instrument included (49) indicators reflecting teaching performance. The validity and reliability of the instrument were assured.

The results showed that the computer science teachers have highly achieved the proposed standards in their instructions, from their own point of view, and the results did not reveal a statistically significant difference between the averages of computer science teachers estimates of their achievement degree of the proposed standards according to the gender and teaching experience variables.

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تطوير قائمة معايير لتقييم الأداء التدريسي لدى معلمي الحاسوب ومعرفة مدى تحقيقهم لها، وما إذا كانت تقديراتهم تختلف باختلاف جنسهم وخبراتهم التدريسية. واستخدم المنهج الوصفي التطويري، وشملت العينة (223) معلمًا ومعلمة اختيروا عشوائيا. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة طوّرت أداة اشتملت على قائمة معايير لتقيم أداء معلمي الحاسوب التدريسي؛ ووزعت على خمسة مجالات فرعية: الثقافة الحاسوبية؛ ومهارات التقويم؛ وأمن المعلومات؛ وأخلاقيات استخدام التكنولوجيا؛ ومحو الأمية التكنولوجية. وتكونت الأداة من (49) مؤشرا تعكس الأداء التدريسي، تم التحقق من صدقها وثباتها.

وأظهرت النتائج أن درجة تحقيق معلمي الحاسوب للمعايير المقترحة في أدائهم التدريسي من وجهة نظرهم أنفسهم بشكل عام مرتفعة، ولم تظهر النتائج فروقًا ذات دلالة احصائية بين المتوسطات الحسابية لتقديرات معلمي الحاسوب في درجة تحقيقهم للمعايير المقترحة تبعا لمتغيري: الجنس، والخبرة التدريسية.
