Abstract

Thestudyaimedatidentifyingthedegreeoftheeducationalsupervisors’useoftheconflictmanagementstrategiesinthedirectoratesofnorthernPalestineintermofthesupervisors’pointofview.Thepopulationofthestudyconsistedof(242)femaleandmalesupervisors,whilethestudysampleconsistedof(155)femaleandmalesupervisors.Forthepurposesofthestudy,theresearcherdesignedaquestionnaireconsistingof(36)itemsdistributedonsixstrategies:cooperationstrategyfordealingwithorganizationalconflict,thestrategyofthesettlement,thestrategyforreferraltoahigherlevel,thestrategyforcourtesy,thestrategyofavoidance,andthestrategyofusingpowertodealwithorganizationalconflict.Theprocessesofvalidityandreliabilitywereconducted,andthereliabilityvariableforthestrategiesrangedbetween(0,38-0,87),andthequestionnaire’stotalreliabilitycoefficient-resolutionwas(0.83),ahighreliabilitycoefficientwhichfulfillsthepurposesofthestudy.Theresultsofthestudyshowedthat:♦♦ThedegreeofuseofthesupervisorsforthestrategiesofconflictmanagementinschooldistrictsinthedirectoratesofthenorthofPalestine,fromtheirpointofviewwassignificantlyinfavorofthesestrategies:cooperation,settlement,referraltoahigherlevel,courtesywhiletheiruseofstrategiesofavoidanceandtheuseofpowerwasofafairdegree.♦♦Therearenostatisticallysignificantdifferencesatthelevelofsignificance(α≤0.05)duetothefollowingvariables:sexofsupervisor,experience,qualifications,andspecializationandjob.♦♦Therearestatisticallysignificantdifferencesatthelevelofsignificance(α≤0.05)duetotheDirectorateofEducation(placeofwork)andthedifferencesbetweentheQabatiya,Jenin,Nablus,Qalqilya,Salfit,TubaswereinfavorofQabatiya,andtherearedifferencesbetweenthesouthofNablus,Qalqilya,Tubas,infavorofsouthNablus.Inlightoftheresearchresults,theresearcherrecommendsdesigningatrainingprogramfortheeducationalsupervisorswhichhastoconcludetheaspectofconflictmanagementstrategies.
