Abstract
The study sought to investigate the effect of Frayer’s model on the acquisition of the syntactic concepts among seventh basic grade female students. The sample of the study consisted of 48 female students, who were selected by the available method. The students were assigned equally into two groups, experimental and control groups. The students at the beginning of the second academic semester 2018/2019 took a pre-test in syntactic concepts. The experimental group was taught through Frayer’s model and the other group was taught regularly. These methods of teaching lasted for 8 weeks (two sessions per week). Each session lasted for 45 minutes. Afterwards, the students took the posttest. The post analysis results showed significant statistical differences in syntactic concepts, in favor of the experimental group.
