Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the level of the professional identity among teachers of North Al Batinah governorate in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the gender and experience variables. The study sample consists of 400 respondents selected using simple random sampling. The researchers used the correlational descriptive approach and the Professional Identity Scale (Hao et al., 2014). The results showed that the level of professional identity was high in general and in all domains. According to variables, the results showed significant differences in the level of professional identity due to gender variable in favor of females except for social comparison and restoring self-esteem domains. According to the experience variable, the results showed no significant differences in the level of professional identity due to teacher experience except the professional self-image domain.
