Abstract

This study aims to identify the degree of using crisis management strategies by principals from the teachers’ point of view in south Nablus Directorate of Education. In order to achieve the aim of the study, a questionnaire of 37 items was developed and divided into four dimensions and its validity and stability were verified. The questionnaire was then distributed to the study sample consisting of 333 male and female teachers chosen using the random stratified method; the descriptive approach was used in this study. The study has used a crisis management strategy scale. The results of the study showed that the degree to which principals use the strategy of management crisis from the south directorate’s teachers’ point of view came to a high degree. The mean of all dimensions was 3.70. The results did not show any statistically significant differences at the significance level a≤0.05 in the degree of using crisis management strategies by principals from the point of view of the teachers in the south Nablus Directorate of education attributed to gender variables, educational qualification, years of experience and educational level. In light of the study, the researchers recommended a number of recommendations, including: Preparing school work teams specialized in managing school crises, assigning tasks, and defining roles. In addition to holding training courses for the staff team in crisis management and preparing the database for school crisis management taking benefits from previous experiences to solve any crisis that may appear in the future.
