Abstract
This study aims to investigate the role of Al- Quds Open University (inPalestine) in reinforcing and developing youth capacities in Palestiniansociety.The researcher used the descriptive approach, and constructed hisown questionnaire to measure the objectives of the research.Reliabilityand validity of the questionnaire are verified, and then the study wascarried out on a sample of 1000 students: 720 female and 280 male.Subjects’ responses are analyzed through arithmetic means, standarddeviations and one way analysis of variance (t.tets) .Results show thatthe QOU role in reinforcing and developing youth capacities is high.Thestudy also reveals that there are statistically significant differences dueto sex in favor of female and current position (job) in favor of employee,but there are no statistically differences due to marital status, and placeof residence.In the light of these results, the researcher suggests somerecommendations that increase opportunities of enabling and developingyouth capacities by highlighting or giving attention to personal andleadership skills, follow up after graduation, political life, other skills asdeveloping their English and computer abilities, and set some programsthat help students to develop their characters and self confiden ce
