Abstract
This study aims at identifying the relationship between narcissism and theBig Five personality traits.In addition, the study aimed at specifying the BigFive personality traits’ participation in narcissism prediction.Participantswere 179 students at Al Quds Open University.The researchers used the (Ne.-FFI- S) Personality Inventory and Narcissism scale.Findings revealed that extroversion, agreeableness, and consciousnesswere negatively related to narcissism while neuroticism was positively relatedto narcissism.No significant relationship was noticed between openness toexperience and narcissism.Furthermore, findings showed also that the Big Five personality traitsexplained about 26.1% of the variance in narcissism scores.Among the BigFive traits, agreeableness and extraversion have just explained this variance.
