Abstract
The study aimed at identifying the concept of citizenship from theperspective of teachers of social studies at government schools of NorthEast Badia in Jordan, and its relation with some variables such as gender,specialization, and years of experience.The Study is based on the descriptiveapproach, using a questionnaire consisting of (35) items distributed on twodomains rights and duties, and applied on a sample consisting of (96) teachers.The results of the study showed that the perception of social studies teachersabout the tool as a whole and the domains of citizenship rights and dutiescame high.The results of the study also showed differences due to gender infavor of males, and years of experience in favor of the few years of experiencefew (less than 5 years) .There were no statistically significant differences dueto specialization.In light of the results a number of recommendations werepresented.
