Abstract
The study aimed at identifying the effect of a training program ontreating stuttering and on promoting self-confidence of children with stutteringdisorders. The study sample included 38 stuttering boys and girls aged 7-10.They were chosen randomly from those treated at Al-Khani Health Centerin Medina. To achieve the goals of the study, a measurement was appliedto identify the level of stuttering as well as the level of self-confidence. Theresults showed the following:- There were statistically significant differences at the level )α≥ 0.05) intreating stuttering disorders of the stuttering children ascribed to thetraining program in favor of the experiment group.- There were statistically significant differences at the level of )α≥ 0.05)regarding the level of self-confidence for the stuttering children ascribedto the training program, in favor of the experimental group.In the light of the results, the researcher recommends that trainingprograms should be used for treating stuttering disorders and improving thelevel of self-confidence of children with stuttering disorders. The researcheralso recommends that similar studies on different samples should be carriedout.
