Abstract
The study objective was to examine the degree of organizational trustat Kuwait public and private universities and its relation with facultymembers› motivation from their point of view .A random sample was selectedfrom Kuwaiti public and private universities faculty members representing(%15) of the total population .The final sample consisted of (335) facultymembers distributed on Kuwaiti public and private universities .To achievethe objective of the study, a descriptive correlational method was used .Twomeasures were developed for data collection: the first was the organizationalTrust questionnaire consisting of (30) items and Motivation Scale consistingof (26) items .Both validity and reliability for the two measures were obtained.Results of the study indicated that the organizational trust level amongfaculty members at Kuwait public and private universities was high, andthis applies to motivation level . Results of the study indicated no significantdifferences due to type of university, faculty and experience in organizationaltrust and motivation levels among faculty members at Kuwait public andprivate universities on all domains and the whole score .Results of the studyindicated a positive significant correlation between organizational trustamong faculty members at Kuwait public and private universities and theirmotivation .In light of these results, the study recommends the need for maintainingthese high levels of organizational trust and motivation among facultymembers at Kuwait public and private universities by continuous use ofcurrent university plans and update them on regular basis .
