Begging Phenomenon in Mafraq City from Social Studies Teachers Perspectives: Reasons and Solutions
Abstract
The study aims at identifying the reasons, the consequences of thebegging phenomenon and the suggested solutions.To achieve the aim of thestudy, a semi-structured interviews were conducted with (30) social studiesteachers who were used to collect the required data at Mafraq city during theacademic year 2014/ 2015.A quantitative research was used to analyze databy using Grounded Theory.The results of the study showed that there wereseven main reasons of begging phenomenon.The main reason was economicrepresented by unemployment, and the last reason in rank was the politicalrepresented by the Syrian refuges.The study recommended to conduct asurvey of poverty in Jordan and to expand of the rehabilitation of beggars inMafraq Governorate.
