Abstract
The study aimed to identify the psychological empowerment and lifeorientation at the level of a sample of (291) teachers from elementary teachersto verify the existence of a correlation between psychological empowermentand life orientation.The researcher detected a difference related to thevariable of sex, experience years, and supervising authority.The psychologicalempowerment scale by Spreyzer (1995) and life orientation scale by Scheier& Carver, (1985) are used.The study showed that the level of psychologicalempowerment is (91.2%) , the level of life orientation is (77.8%) and theexistence of a correlation between psychological empowerment and lifeorientation.There are no differences depending on the variable of sex exceptin impact branch, in favor of males; there are no differences according toyears’ experience in favor of the experienced of 11 years or more; there areno differences depending on supervising authority variable except in impactbranch in favor of relief agency.
