Level of Organizational Citizenship Behavior Among the Faculty in King Faisal University
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the level oforganizational citizenship behavior among facultymembers at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia.The study used descriptive approach, and to achievethe study aim the research used a questionnaireto collect data from a stratified random sample of(205) faculty members selected from King FaisalUniversity for the academic year (2014/ 2015).The results showed that organizational citizenshipbehavior level of faculty members at King FaisalUniversity were moderate, also the study found thatthere were no statistically significant differencesin the responses of the study sample at the levelof organizational citizenship behavior due to thedifference sex category in all domains except thealtruism domain came to males favor. The resultsalso showed that the statistically significantdifferences of the responses of the study sample atthe level of organizational citizenship behavior dueto the different categories of years of experiencein all domains, and the differences were besideexperience more than (10) years. In light ofstudy findings, the researcher recommended thefollowing: encourage organizational citizenshipbehavior through workshops and training coursesrelated and that of workers in the academic andadministrative areas in Saudi universities.
