Abstract
The research examines the formation of a picture of the reality of Arabic syntax in the modern era. It stems from the hypothesis that an examination of the studies addressing the Arabic language can help answer the question regarding the effect of these studies and attempts to present a clear scientific picture of modern Arabic, compared to the efforts of the early scholars. The researcher frames the modern grammatical term as a means to move towards understanding the most prominent features of modern grammar, drawing on the reports from contemporary scholars regarding the sections of speech as they appeared in their syntactic sources. This includes presenting the curriculum of some of these grammarians, analyzing its impact on the grammar lesson, and tracking the features of its development and the outcomes of the attempts made based on it. The research also reviews some views of modern grammar and syntacticians, discussing certain aspects in relation to the early syntacticians.
