Abstract
This study aimed to identify the impact of critical success factors on professional choice and their role in achieving adaptation strategies, considering the prevailing culture of Jordanian university students. The study population consisted of 963 Jordanian university students. The researchers employed a descriptive approach and used a questionnaire as the tool for data collection. The data gathered from the questionnaires were analyzed using several statistical methods through the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).The study concluded that there is a statistically significant effect at the level of (α = 0.05) of critical success factors (self, personal, social, economic, and cultural) on professional choice in achieving competitive adaptation strategies across various dimensions (personal, health, family, and social adaptation). The results indicated a statistically significant effect of critical success factors related to the dominant culture among Jordanian university students. The study also highlighted the need for senior management in Jordanian universities to adopt an effective vision to emphasize the critical success factors influencing professional choice in the context of adaptation to the prevailing culture.
