Abstract

This study aimed to assess the efficiency of Al-Quds Open University (QOU) practical education supervisors in overseeing practical education students in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate from the perspective of the cooperating teacher. A two-domain questionnaire was developed for this purpose, with one domain focusing on the role of the practical education supervisor in relation to the cooperating teacher, and the other on the supervisor's role with the training student. The study encompassed the entire study population at the basic stage, comprising 110 male and female teachers, with responses obtained from 100 of them. The study yielded several conclusions: The response level of the sample members to the first domain, concerning the role of the practical education supervisor with the cooperating teacher, was high across all items, ranging from 80% to 86%. The response level to the second domain, concerning the role of the practical education supervisor with the training student, was also high, with percentages ranging from 79% to 88%. The study revealed differences in the perceived efficiency of QOU supervisors from the perspective of the cooperating teacher, attributed to the field of specialty, favoring human studies. The study recommended selecting schools with more cooperative teachers for training students and choosing proficient and highly qualified teachers to supervise students during practical education.
