Abstract

This study aimed to determine the training needs of the directors of public schools in Al-Qasbah District of Irbid. To identify these needs, a descriptive survey approach was employed. The study population consisted of all 171 directors of public schools in the Irbid district, with all study subjects included. The researchers prepared a questionnaire consisting of 41 items to assess the training needs. The findings indicated that the training needs of both male and female principals were largely met according to the overall evaluation of the tool and across the various areas it covered. Additionally, the results showed no statistically significant differences in the responses of the sample members. However, there were differences in responses based on years of experience, with differences favoring the category of "less than ten years." The study concluded by discussing the results in light of the existing literature and previous studies related to governmental, administrative, technical, information technology, and partnership training needs.
