Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of using mobile phone applications on the development of academic achievement among seventh-grade students in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. To achieve this aim, the researcher employed two different research methods: the analytical descriptive approach, which was used to extrapolate the independent variable (mobile phone applications) and the dependent variable (academic achievement). The study sample consisted of seventh-grade students from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, who were randomly selected and divided into two groups. The first group, the experimental group, was taught using a mobile phone-based educational program, while the second group, the control group, was taught in the traditional manner. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental and control groups on the post-achievement test.
