Abstract

This study has adopted an analytical method to examine various texts addressing the originality and sanctity of place through three dimensions. These dimensions are compatible with each other regarding the concept, while differing in their presentation of the texts. The first dimension addresses the theoretical foundation of the concept of memory and collective conscience, serving as a systematic introduction aligned with the requirements of research construction. The second dimension focuses on the place in human sentiment, clarifying the concept of homeland and its connection to human instinct. An analytical perspective has been applied to several Qur’anic verses and prophetic traditions, as well as to literary texts that excel in highlighting the significance of place in the authors' imaginations. Finally, the third dimension emphasizes the representation of place within the Palestinian cultural scene.
