Abstract
This study aimed to identify the levels of academic procrastination and the differences based on place of residence (village, city, refugee camp) among the students of Princess Rahma University College at Al-Balqa Applied University. The study sample consisted of 140 male and female students, who were selected using stratified sampling from the study population. The academic procrastination scale, which consists of 15 items, was used to measure the extent of a student’s postponement of academic duties and assignments. The results of the study indicated that the level of academic procrastination among the students of Princess Rahma University College at Al-Balqa Applied University was high, with an average score of 3.75 and a standard deviation of 0.92. The results also showed statistically significant differences (α ≥ 0.05) in academic procrastination levels between students residing in villages and those living in refugee camps and cities. Additionally, the results indicated statistically significant differences (α ≥ 0.05) favoring students residing in cities.
