Abstract

This study aimed to assess the level of educational leaders in the Directorate of Education in Jerash regarding their administrative roles, with consideration of modern management thought from the perspectives of their subordinates. The study sample consisted of 106 participants, with 66 males and 40 females, using a questionnaire to achieve the study’s objectives. The results indicated that the practice of educational leaders in the Directorate of Education in Jerash, concerning modern management thought, received a medium level of appraisal from subordinates. There were no statistically significant differences attributable to years of experience or academic qualification variables. However, significant differences were observed based on gender, favoring males. Based on these findings, the study proposed several recommendations, including training courses for educational leaders organized by the Jordanian Ministry of Education to enhance their performance in management positions, aligned with modern management thought requirements.
