Abstract

This study aimed to assess the level of belief in teachers’ fairness and its relationship with the psychological safety of 12th graders at Yatta Directorate of Education. It also sought to identify the effect of two factors gender and field of specialization—on these variables. The population of the study consisted of all 12th graders (n = 865), from which a sample of 250 students was selected. The researchers used questionnaires measuring teachers’ fairness and psychological safety. The study’s findings indicated that both teachers’ fairness and psychological safety were at moderate levels, with a positive correlation between the two variables. Additionally, the results revealed statistically significant differences in belief in teachers’ fairness based on gender, favoring females. No statistically significant differences were observed regarding the field of specialization. Moreover, there were no significant differences in the level of psychological safety attributable to gender or specialization.
