Abstract
This study aimed to identify the role of youth centers in Jordan in promoting the political participation of their members from their perspective. The research population consisted of 1,339 male and female members of youth centers. The "Social Survey" methodology specifically, the descriptive and analytical approach—was employed, using a sample of 300 respondents drawn from members in the city of Amman. A questionnaire was used as the data collection tool, and data analysis was performed using SPSS. Results indicated that youth centers play a "medium role" in political upbringing, political knowledge, and political activism. Additionally, statistically significant differences were found regarding these areas in relation to educational level; higher educational levels were associated with increased opportunities for fostering political participation. Based on these findings, the study recommended that the role of youth centers be further developed. Specifically, programs and activities aimed at promoting democratic participation among youth such as internal elections and majority-based decision-making should be implemented.
