Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree of commitment of teachers in secondary and basic public schools in the Wadi Al-Seer District to the ethics of the profession from the perspective of their directors. The study relied on the descriptive survey approach. The study population consisted of 222 directors and managers, and the sample included 202 directors and managers. The results of the study indicated that the degree of teachers' commitment to the ethics of the profession, from the perspective of their managers, was high. The results revealed significant differences in the degree of teachers' commitment to the ethics of the profession based on the variable of gender, with results favoring females. Additionally, significant differences were found related to the variable of educational level, favoring those with a higher diploma. The researchers recommend that the Ministry of Education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan strengthen the professional ethics of teachers by incorporating them into evaluation and promotion processes.
