Abstract
This study aimed to identify the degree of effectiveness of in-service teacher training programs from the teachers’ perspective in Ajloun Governorate. The descriptive survey method was employed, and the study sample consisted of 242 male and female teachers in schools across Ajloun Governorate. The results indicated that, overall, the degree of effectiveness of in-service teacher training programs from the teachers' perspective was moderate, with an average score of 3.10. Additionally, the findings revealed no statistically significant differences in the average ratings of the effectiveness of training programs based on gender or educational qualification at the overall tool level and across all its domains, except for the variables of training location and timing, as well as training evaluation, where the higher-than-Bachelor's category was favored. Regarding years of experience, there were no significant differences at the overall level for all areas of the tool, except for the planning of training programs, training methods and means, and the tool as a whole, favoring the category of teachers with less than 5 years of experience. For the training program variable, significant differences were found at the overall level across all areas except for training methods and means, location and timing of training, evaluation of training, and the tool as a whole, favoring the ERSP category.
