Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of Supply Chain Integration, in terms of integration with suppliers and integration with distributors, on Organizational Performance, using the balanced scorecard dimensions (learning and growth, internal processes, and customer satisfaction) in Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Companies, along with the moderating role of the Just-in-Time Production System. A quantitative descriptive analytical approach was used to achieve the objectives of the study. The study population consisted of all 20 Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing companies operating in Jordan. The analysis and sampling unit consisted of a total of 273 members surveyed. A questionnaire was employed to collect the necessary data. Based on the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), the results of the statistical analysis showed a statistically significant impact of integration with suppliers and integration with distributors on organizational performance, using the balanced scorecard dimensions (learning and growth, internal processes, and customer satisfaction) in the Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing companies at a significance level of α ≤ 0.05. Additionally, there was a statistically significant impact of the Just-in-Time Production System (JIT) in moderating the effect of supply chain integration on the performance of the Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing companies at the same significance level (α ≤ 0.05). The study recommends that Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing companies continue to build cooperative and integrative relationships with supply chain members (suppliers and distributors) and focus on implementing the Just-in-Time Production System while ensuring that all requirements for the successful application of the system are met.
