Abstract
This study aimed to reveal the levels of both psychological fragility and defense mechanisms among unmarried women, as well as the correlation between them. The study sample consisted of 216 unmarried women, who were selected using a convenience sampling method. The results showed that the level of psychological fragility among unmarried women was moderate, with differences noted based on educational level and age. Additionally, the study found that the most common psychological defense mechanisms among unmarried women were daydreaming, while projection was the least common. Differences in defense mechanisms were also observed according to educational level and social status. Finally, the study identified a statistically significant relationship between psychological fragility and defense mechanisms among unmarried women.
