Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the interactive e-book in developing reading comprehension skills among seventh-grade female students. To achieve the study's aim, a creative reading comprehension skills test, encompassing reading fluency, reading flexibility, reading originality, and reading extension, was prepared. The test consisted of 20 open-ended questions. The study's participants comprised 40 seventh-grade female students from Beit Ids Basic School during the first semester of 2021/2022, who were conveniently selected. The participants were randomly divided into two groups: 20 students in the experimental group taught using the interactive e-book, and 20 students in the control group taught using the conventional method. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level of α = 0.05 between the performance means in creative reading comprehension skills, favoring the experimental group.
