Abstract

This study aimed to identify the possibility of applying the Kaizen Strategy to school principals in the Irbid governorate. To achieve the study's objectives, a descriptive survey method was used. The study population consisted of all approximately 24,432 teachers and 4,356 principals in Irbid province. The sample of the study included 317 teachers and 62 principals from schools in the Irbid Governorate, chosen through a simple random sampling method. The study employed a questionnaire comprising 20 items, distributed across three areas as follows: the first area focuses on the general requirements of the Kaizen Strategy, the second area on the requirements for applying the Kaizen Strategy, and the third area on the requirements for evaluating the Kaizen Strategy. The results of the study indicated that the overall possibility of applying the Kaizen Strategy by school principals in the Irbid governorate was average, with a mean score of 3.36. The areas were ranked as follows: the first area, the general requirements for the Kaizen Strategy, came in third and final place with a mean of 3.29; the second area, the requirements for applying the Kaizen Strategy, came in first place with the highest mean score of 3.50; and the third area, the requirements for evaluating the Kaizen Strategy, came in second place with a mean of 3.30. The results also revealed statistically significant differences due to the job title variable, with the statistical significance in favor of principals. Additionally, the results showed no differences due to the gender variable, the academic qualification variable across all fields, or the years of experience variable.
