Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of social communication in social cohesion among athletic players in the Ministry of Education. A descriptive approach was used, employing a questionnaire consisting of 15 items distributed across three areas: 'belonging to the group,' 'satisfying social needs,' and 'integration into teamwork.' The sample consisted of 115 players from the teams of the educational directorates in the Ministry of Education. Statistical methods used included averages, standard deviations, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and the T-test. The most important results indicated that the role of social communication in social cohesion among athletic team players in the Ministry of Education was rated as average in all fields, except for the field of belonging to the group, which was rated as high. Additionally, there were no statistically significant differences in the role of social communication in social cohesion among athletic team players with respect to years of experience. The main recommendations included using social communication to promote regular sports gatherings and social activities for players.
