Abstract

This study aimed to explore the extent of practicing Learning Management Systems (LMS) for blended learning in some Jordanian government universities and its relationship with certain variables. The study population consisted of all faculty members at the University of Jordan, Al Balqa Applied University, and Yarmouk University, totaling 4,275 individuals. The sample included 470 faculty members, selected randomly, for the first semester of the academic year 2022/2023. To achieve the study's objectives, a descriptive approach was employed, and a questionnaire consisting of 21 items was designed. The questionnaire was divided into three main areas: the extent of using LMS for blended education, the practice of blended learning management, and the evaluation process through LMS for blended learning. The results indicated that the practice of faculty members regarding LMS for blended learning was at a moderate level. There were no statistically significant differences attributed to scientific rank. However, statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) were observed due to gender, favoring males, and experience. Based on these findings, the study recommends organizing periodic training courses for faculty members to enhance their skills in using LMS for blended education and linking the use of LMS to quality standards.
