Abstract
This study aimed to identify the degree of practice of school principals in first Zarqa region in the skill of managing organizational conflict, as perceived by teachers. A descriptive approach was used, and the results showed that the practice level of school principals in managing organizational conflict was moderate. There were no statistically significant differences due to variables such as sex, educational qualification, or years of experience; however, differences favored school principals. The study recommends conducting training courses to guide school principals on the importance of using appropriate methods to manage organizational conflicts that occur in their schools. Additionally, school administrations should establish sound principles and rules to organize workflows and distribute tasks among teachers fairly and objectively, each according to their specialization. It is also advised to clarify and promote the use of the cooperation approach among school principals and teachers by involving teachers in decision-making processes, delegating authority, enhancing administrative transparency, and assisting teachers in preparing annual plans. Furthermore, researchers are encouraged to explore the skill of managing organizational conflict among school principals and to examine its relationship with other variables, such as teachers’ job performance.
