Abstract
This paper investigates the different skills required by the faculty staff teaching online courses in distance learning. The first part of the paper is devoted to literature review and an analysis of the different requirements for long distance education among the faculty staff in comparison to face-to-face education. Moreover, this section examines multimedia skills for education. The paper collects the viewpoints of the faculty members, collected through surveys, who recently practiced online teaching, taking note that they were involved in conventional online academic programs. Finally, the study listed the results of the research, besides issues that require further research and follow-up.
