Abstract

Al Quds Open University introduced e- learning in the first semesterof the academic year 2008/2009. This study aimed at identifying the mainproblems and obstacles facing students registered for blended e- learningcourses in addition to identifying their trends towards e- learning specificallyvideo streaming in order to advise decision makers at Al Quds Open Universityon how to improve the experience and overcome the obstacles that might facestudents in the future.In order to achieve these aims, the researchers used descriptive methodsby distributing a questionnaire to collect the required data to a classifiedsample of students. The size of the sample was 7% of the population reachingtotal of 515 male and female students.To The findings the study indicated that 65% of students expressedpositive attitudes towards the technique of video streaming. There are also44% of students who supported the extension of e- learning experience tomore courses and educational regions.The most crucial problems were due to the students themselves and notto the university. The main obstacle was due to the fact that many students donot own computers and internet connections. Another problem is that studentswere not given orientation sessions before starting their e courses. The mainproblem due to the university was the lack of lab technicians’ support at theuniversity
