Abstract

This study aims to identify the practical education supervisors’ evaluationfor the forms used to evaluate the student teachers in the stage of applicationof the course called “Practical Education”.In addition to that, it attempts toidentify the roles of gender, academic qualification, specialization, universityexperience and the number of supervision times on the course, and the areavariables in the academic supervisors’ evaluation for the evaluative formsin practical training of the course called “Practical Education”.The studypopulation consisted of (94) supervisors.The questionnaire used consisted of(36) items according to Likert Quintet Scale.Its validity was verified and itsreliability coefficient (0.89) was calculated according to the half- partitionmethod.Its coefficient of internal consistency (0.92) was calculated accordingto Chronbach Alpha Equation.Furthermore, a “journal” was used in themeetings of the focal groups of the academic supervisors.The findings of the study were as follows: concerning supervision theevaluation degree of the forms used in evaluating student teachers in practicaltraining of the course called “Practical Education” was high.The findingsalso showed differences in the averages of academic supervisors’ responses ontheir evaluations of the evaluative forms that were attributed to the variablesof: gender, academic qualification, scientific rank, specialization, universityexperience, number of supervision times on the course, and area.The researcher supplied several recommendations including thenecessity to formulate the evaluative forms of practical training of the coursecalled “Practical Education” in accordance with the course objectives andevaluating the performance of the student teachers from all aspects.
