Future Journal of Social Science

Aims and Scope

While the social sciences journals platform in the Arab region may already be vast, FJSS provides an edge in covering a rather unique niche in academia. In fact, FJSS aspires to achieve a robust academic arena where inter- and trans-disciplinary studies are profoundly promoted; paving the way for enriched accumulations of knowledge, methodological experimentation, conceptual (re-)interpretations, revisions, as well newly discovered academic horizons. FJSS's focus is to support the academic contributions in any of the following sub-fields of social science (and not limited to): economics, statistics, political science, media and communication, political mass media, public administration, sociology, anthropology, gender studies, area studies, international politics, history, political and social psychology, etc.

In fulfillment of this goal, FJSS adopts the mission of serving as a pool of diversity for various academic orientations under the umbrella of social sciences. Authors encouraged to contribute in the development and enrichment of FJSS are: academic staff, researchers, policy-makers, as well as individuals with substantial expertise in their field of engagement. FJSS published papers conducted in English.

In light of this, introducing dialectical questions, shedding light and studying fundamental elements of historical or current events, as well as (and certainly not limited to) providing alternative scenarios for existing ideological, conceptual and epistemological dynamics, are all highly encouraged by our authors.

Authors are invited to present papers and research outcomes on any theme relevant to the interpretation and analysis of pressing contemporary social sciences issues and problematics. This may come in the form of book reviews, research papers, conference and workshop reviews, short communications, and more.

It is therefore the mission of FJSS to serve as a hybrid of the different fields in the social sciences by connecting scholars and practitioners on the international front. This is with the aspiration of providing alternative, non-traditional, lenses of viewing academia produced in the Arab world, yet shared and accumulated through international dissemination in our highly connected and fast-paced world.Future Journal of Social Science Aims & Scope page here.
