Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree of intellectual openness of the directors of public and private schools in the Bani Obaid District in light of Islamic principles from the teachers' point of view. The study sample consisted of 315 male and female teachers who were selected using a random stratified method. The results indicated that the degree of intellectual openness among school principals in the Bani Obaid District, in light of Islamic principles, was high. The results revealed statistically significant differences in the degree of intellectual openness attributed to the variable of gender, favoring females. Additionally, significant differences were found related to the variable of educational stage, favoring the secondary stage. However, the results showed no significant differences attributed to the variable of school type. The researchers recommend that school principals establish dialogue committees with students to foster scientific and intellectual discussions based on respectful and sound exchange of opinions.
