Abstract
This study aimed to identify the degree of awareness of the concept of citizenship among students at Yarmouk University from the students' point of view. The study adopted the descriptive survey method. The researchers prepared a questionnaire to measure the degree of students' awareness of the concept of citizenship. It consisted of (19) items, where the study community consisted of all Yarmouk University students. Their number is (38008) male and female students, and the study sample consisted of (503) male and female students who were chosen by the available random method. The results of the study showed that the degree of awareness of the concept of citizenship among Yarmouk University students was (high); The results revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the degree of awareness of the concept of citizenship due to the variable (sex) and it came in favor of (females), and there were statistically significant differences in the variable (college), and it came in favor of (human social psychology), and the results revealed the absence of significant differences A statistic attributed to the variable (scientific level), recommends that Yarmouk University continue to activate its role in the development of national belonging among students, by enriching study plans with courses that enhance the values of good citizenship for them.
