Abstract

This study aimed to identify the fear of success and its relationship to irrational thoughts among students at the World Islamic Sciences & Education University. The study sample consisted of 160 randomly selected students. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher developed two scales for measuring fear of success and irrational thoughts. The results indicated that the levels of both fear of success and irrational thoughts among the students were moderate. Additionally, the findings revealed a positive and statistically significant correlation between fear of success and irrational thoughts. There were no statistically significant differences in fear of success based on the study's two variables; however, there were statistically significant differences in irrational thoughts based on gender, favoring females, as well as differences based on academic specialization, favoring the specialization in special education.
