Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the most important Standards of the National Framework for Academic Qualifications (SNFAQ) in the Early Childhood stage in Jordan. The study adopted a descriptive approach to achieve its objectives and developed a questionnaire to assess the degree of availability of the SNFAQ criteria in early childhood education in Jordan. The final version of the questionnaire consisted of three dimensions and 65 items. The sample comprised 135 kindergarten teachers from both the private and public sectors in Amman city. The study results indicated that the degree of availability of the SNFAQ in early childhood curricula in Jordan was moderate, with a mean of 2.82 and a standard deviation of 0.61. Furthermore, there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of availability of the SNFAQ in the early childhood stage in Jordan based on kindergarten type and years of experience. However, statistically significant differences were found in the degree of availability of the SNFAQ due to academic qualifications, favoring those with postgraduate degrees. Finally, a set of recommendations was made based on the study's results, including increasing the interest of officials in the Ministry of Education, including kindergarten leaders, in understanding the importance of the SNFAQ, identifying an executive body to oversee the incorporation of the standards, and conducting similar studies on kindergarten departments in Jordanian universities.
