Abstract
This study aims to identify sports tourism management in Jordan from the perspective of tourist guides. The researcher utilized a descriptive method on a random sample of 285 tourist guides registered with the Tourist Guide Association in Jordan. The questionnaire consisted of 36 items across four fields: Planning, Organizing, Directing, and Controlling, which were developed by the researcher to collect data for this study. The findings indicate that the tourist guides' perspective on sports tourism management in Jordan is moderate. The results highlight the guides' interest in available capabilities when planning for sports tourism, the need for affordable accommodation to serve the sports tourism sector, the significant role of media in promoting sports tourism activities, and the interest of tourism companies and organizers of sports tourism activities in obtaining feedback from tourists. Additionally, the results showed no statistically significant differences from the tourist guides' perspective in the fields of Planning and Organizing. However, there were statistically significant differences in the fields of Directing and Controlling for those with 10 years of experience or more. The study recommends developing a strategic plan based on scientific foundations for the sports tourism sector, as well as providing a variety of sports tourism activities in tourist attractions suitable for all age groups and aligned with the nature of the tourist attraction.
