Abstract
This study aimed to identify the degree of commitment of public school principals in the Northern Mazar District to ethical leadership standards from the teachers' perspective. A random sample was selected from the study population of 972 male and female teachers for the academic year 2020-2021. The results showed that the degree of commitment of government school principals in the Northern Mazar District to the standards of ethical leadership, overall, was high. There were statistically significant differences in the degree of school principals’ commitment to ethical leadership standards based on gender, favoring females. Additionally, there were statistically significant differences due to the variable of educational degree, favoring those holding a bachelor’s degree or less. However, no differences were found in school principals’ commitment to ethical leadership standards based on years of experience. In light of these results, the researcher recommends motivating school principals and linking this motivation to their job performance.
