Abstract

This study addresses a very important topic: the position of the Shiites regarding the Holy Qur’an. It clarifies their views on the authenticity of the Qur’an, allegations of its distortion, and the belief in its outward and inward aspects. To achieve its objectives, the study employed both descriptive and critical approaches. It concluded that the Twelver Shiites rely on some myths and concepts not grounded in reality in their understanding of the Qur’an. The study recommended exercising caution in dealing with the Twelver Shiites, especially given the proliferation of satellite channels and social media, as they tend to mix various elements in their teachings and writings.
