Abstract
The study aimed to examine the effect of repeated reading on developing oral reading fluency among fifth-grade students. The study sample consisted of 44 fifth-grade students from Ajloun Governorate during the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022. A quasi-experimental design was used with two equal groups: an experimental group of 22 students, who were taught using the repeated reading strategy, and a control group of 22 students, who were taught in the usual way. A pre-test and post-test were administered to both groups to assess oral reading fluency. The study results showed a statistically significant effect (α=0.05) of the repeated reading method in improving oral reading fluency on the post-test, favoring the experimental group. The study recommended the use of repeated reading to improve oral reading fluency.
