Abstract

The current study aimed to determine the levels of self-disclosure and a sense of psychological happiness among university students, as well as the relationship between them. The study sample was composed of 500 male and female students, selected using a convenient sampling method. To achieve the aims of the study, the self-disclosure scale and the psychological happiness scale were used. The results showed that the level of self-disclosure was medium, while the level of psychological happiness was high. There were statistically significant differences in the level of self-disclosure due to gender and faculty, with benefits favoring females and students from humanities faculties. There were no statistically significant differences attributed to the place of residence. Additionally, there were no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological happiness due to gender, faculty, or place of residence. There was a statistically significant positive relationship between self-disclosure and psychological happiness among university students. Based on the results of the study, a set of recommendations was presented.
