Abstract
This study aimed to identify the level of professional motivation among teachers in post-basic education schools in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive approach was employed, and a questionnaire was used as the study tool. A questionnaire consisting of 28 items was administered to 274 teachers. The questionnaire was divided into two parts: demographic data and professional motivation. Its validity and reliability were also verified.
The findings of the study revealed that the level of professional motivation among teachers at post-basic education schools in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate was high. The study also revealed no statistically significant differences between the study sample groups regarding the study variables (gender, qualification).
Considering the study findings, a set of recommendations was provided, the most important of which are: the need to pay more attention to the system of incentives and rewards for teachers to increase their professional motivation, and providing special courses and programs to develop their skills and capabilities.
